About
Magic Moon
Created by a mum of three who wanted something a little more magical than a standard colouring book.

It started at home
Like a lot of families, we have stacks of colouring books.
My girls love them.
They’ll sit down excited, pick their colours… and then a few pages in, the excitement fades.
I kept noticing the same thing:
They weren’t bored of colouring.
They were bored of colouring the same kind of thing over and over again.
The problem with what’s out there
I tried personalised books too.
They were beautiful… but they felt passive. Something to look at, rather than something to do.
And the photo-to-colouring tools? Fun at first, but every page felt the same. There wasn’t enough variety to keep them engaged.
The idea
I realised something simple:
Children don’t just want to see themselves in a story.
They want to take part in it.
What we created
So I built Magic Moon — a personalised book where your child becomes the star, alongside their siblings, friends or family.
Each page places them into a different world:
- Flying with unicorns
- Exploring castles
- Diving with dolphins
- Going on pirate adventures
No two pages feel the same. They don’t just read the story — they colour it, shape it, and bring it to life themselves.

Why it matters
Because when a child is part of the story, something changes.
They stay engaged
Because the story is built around them, they keep coming back to it.
They feel proud
Every page they colour is a piece of their own adventure.
They keep it
It becomes more than a book — it becomes something they treasure.

A little about me
Hi, I’m Michelle
I’m a mum of three girls, and I built Magic Moon from scratch.
I didn’t start this as a big company idea. I started it because I wanted something better for my own children.
Every decision — the themes, the artwork style, the way the stories are put together — has been shaped by watching what actually keeps kids engaged and what doesn’t.
Our mission
To help children see themselves as the hero of their own story — and bring that story to life in their own way.
